Eating Well During The Holidays Contributor

When we make changes to eat a more healthier life we tend to "take a break" during the Holidays.  This makes no sense to me, its like falling off the wagon and then your body feels horrible and you have to restart New Years Resolutions.

During the Holidays we tend to make a lot of festive foods and celebration items.  It’s a wonderful time of year to celebrate one another and look forward to what 2013 has to offer.  While celebrating let me try to give you a few tips that will keep down the weight, keep kids healthy, and decrease your stress.

In my Monthly Contributor Post on Happy Mothering I talk about how to eat well during the holidays.
  • First step is to examine your food traditions.
  • What consequences can happen after one holiday party?
  • What are some ideas to be festive & avoid offending foods?
  • Recipe:  Cranberry Almond Upside Down Bars (Gluten Free)
The plans do not have to start out perfect. This is a journey for better health and we make mistakes along the way. The key is to continually move towards your ultimate goals, happiness and better health.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

  1. I bring a dish to parties that I know I will eat; I may be the only one who eats it, but it guarantees I will have something.

  4. I tend to try everything on the table and end up eating too much that I'd need to change pants because my tummy is bursting! Whenever we are having a family get-together, we eat and eat and eat! I only eat that much when we are all together. It's easy for me to shed excess weight anyway :D
