Dr. Joel Fuhrman talks about what is wrong with the way we eat. There is 3 main items that we eat that are causing us to be addicted to food and causing our weight gain. Protein, Carbohydrates, and Fats, which are all macronutrients. We thought we were so cleaver to add vitamins and minerals to foods to make them "more healthful". Unfortunately we are not getting enough micronutrients. He goes on to explain how if we lack in micronutrients we over eat in the Macronutrients leading to high rates of diabetes, heart disease and more.
When we eat a more natural food based diet of whole foods and reduce the amount of processed foods we can get these micronutrients and phytonutrients that improves health and allows the body to health, repair, and detox naturally. ReplyDeleteIt's definitely true that we as a society eat horribly! Processed food is so bad. Fast food is very addicting. Time constraints and wanting something easy is leading to poor health choices.
