Give Kids the World, an Amazing Charity

Give Kids the World is a Non-Profit Organization in Central Florida that brings a little magic to children with life threatening illnesses.  They help to make lasting memories for the children and their family.

This all started with a young girls dream to visit the theme parks of Disney.  Her name is Amy and she was diagnosed with Leukemia.  A very generous hotelier wanted to help make this possible for her.  He helped arrange for her dreams to come true, but the travel plans took too long to be arranged.  Sadly, Amy never got to make the trip and passed away.  The hotelier, Henri Landwirth, vowed "no child in need would ever be failed again" and "his desire to ensure that Amy's story would never repeat itself is where the story of Give Kids The World begins".  Now, the Village Resort sits on 70 acres with 140 themed Villa accommodations designed for the families and their special needs.  Please read more about how Give Kids the World got started.

Give Kids the World blog is a great way to stay connected and see the magic this organization is making.  Angela Haber is one of the blogs contributor writers, and personal friend. So excited to see how she is helping make a difference in the lives of these treasured kids.
Angela is the copywriter and grant writer at Give Kids The World. She attended University of West Florida in Pensacola and her background is in editing print media and teaching writing.
Of the grade levels she has taught (grades 3,4,5,10-12), fourth grade was her very favorite.

“My favorite thing about teaching children was reading their fun, creative stories which also revealed insight and wisdom. It’s such a cool experience to hear a child explain the workings of the universe through a silly story.”
She has two rambunctious kitties, Drake and Sammy, who love to climb blinds, jump at ceiling fans and swing on shower curtains. She is planning a springtime wedding and spending time with her nieces and nephews, Ava, Evan, Ella and Nolan, is her absolute favorite thing to do. Angela also enjoys yoga and writing.~~GKTW Blog

Mission Moment: Hearts of Reality Make Dreams Come True at Give Kids The World.  Check out this touching video of 100 celebrities that come make this day special for the kids.

I am very blessed to have four healthy children, but you never know when an illness can take root.  I know the pain and sorrow a parent can feel when your child is sick.  We had a scare 2 years ago with my son, and thankfully everything worked out.  That week was like living a nightmare going through test after test.  I can imagine what an amazing gift it would be bring your child to a place where dreams come true.  What a gift to watch your child laugh, dress up and hang out with their favorite princess, meet Mickey Mouse, and so much more.  To live in a fairy tale for a short time and leave all your worries at the door.  WOW,  what a cherished experience.  It truly is a gift, because the families are not asked to pay a dime.  All this magic happens with donations and volunteers.

If you would like to help make magic possible, you can make a donation HERE.
It's not every day that dreams come true, but Give Kids the World strives to do just that!

Disclosure:  I am not paid for my reviews.  These are my thoughts and opinions that I share to help others know about companies and products I am Passionate about.
